Kudu Bush Camp

Just you, the bush and the mountains. Proper off-grid quiet.

Away from the farm buzz and off the road, with no other guests using the track to camp. The whole site is yours.

Kudu Bush Camp is about simple solitude: a small human footprint, mountain views and nature all around. We take only one booking at a time, so you'll have total privacy. Bring all your own camping gear and settle in for a few days of birdsong, open skies and fires under the stars.

The camp is not fenced, so kudu roam freely through it. There is no electricity and no cellphone reception, which is exactly the point.

WHAT'S AT THE CAMP

Off-grid, not roughing it

Camping

  • Levelled, sandy tent area under netting
  • Room for two 2-person tents
  • Three levelled stands for tents, off-road caravans and camper vans

Bathroom

  • Open-air, among bushes with tree shade
  • Gas-heated hot shower with fountain water
  • Flush toilet and toilet paper
  • Septic tank, so please flush nothing foreign

Social area

  • Large picnic table under the trees
  • Built-in fireplace with a braai grid
  • Dishwashing basin with fountain water
  • Closable bin, emptied every 2 to 3 days

Splash pool

  • Filled with fountain water for each booking
  • Untreated: no chemicals or salt
  • Shared with dogs that swim, and the wildlife

Bring along

  • All your own camping gear and equipment
  • Lighting and power you need (no electricity)
  • Food and drinks for your stay

Dogs

  • Dogs are welcome, at no charge
  • The camp is open bush, not fenced
  • Reading our dog guidelines is compulsory

Good to know

Kudu Bush Camp takes one booking at a time, for a minimum of two nights. There is no electricity and no cellphone reception. Pets may not travel through the nature reserve gates, so if you're bringing a dog, ask us about the alternative route.
