True to the character and feel of the klein karoo, the mountain view is something to behold. And then there is the ever present Crocodile – a rock formation reflecting the sun’s daily movements and shadows. This quaint cottage offers undisturbed peace and tranquility, offering the best of the surrounding nature to see birds and klipspringer to the keen eye.

It is free standing and away from other guest accommodation, thus privately neat. Just like all the other getaways, it is totally off the road and traffic cannot be heard. It can also accommodate a larger group in conjunction with the other dwellings on our farm
The cottage is well suited for small children and pet owners alike because it is fenced with gates. Pet owners, please do bring your own sleeping and feeding accessories.

The Karoo Cottage has 2 bedrooms sleeping 5 comfortably. It is equipped as a self-catering getaway with gas and electricity. As of June, the newly installed fireplace makes any cold winter night so very cosy inside. An outdoor braai offers the choice of braaing under the bright stars or using the well equipped kitchen
The bathroom is partially open air offering you a private jaw dropping nature’s view whilst having a hot shower. We enclose the non-gladded parts during the winter months, still making it possible to see out yet experiencing the magic of an outdoor shower
Clean linen and fresh towels are provided, as well as hot water bottles for cold nights
Remember to always pack for 4 seasons in 1 day!

Tree House

An unusual escape and a completely different experience, this adult wooden treehouse is built in the boughs of an ancient sprawling red Karee tree (Rhus  Lancea). The dwelling is enveloped by the branches of a living tree, with lush vegetation and bush as a private garden

Unfortunately dis-abled and heavy bodies might find it hard to maneuver and therefore not advised as a relaxing experience

Kudu Bush Camp

As of October 2017, we have created our very own indigenous campsite, set apart and away from the normal hustle and bustle of farm life. It is located between a hill and a spitskoppie, with uninterrupted mountain views surrounding the camp
We experience rustic and remote camping as a total privilege, giving yourself time to receive the best from nature

Stillness, clean air, fire, stars, fountain water, simplistic klein karoo land, animal and bird sounds, wind through the trees…..
If you have come all this way to camp, we trust that you will enjoy the camping routines that brings its own closeness to nature

Seasonally kudu walk next to the camp site where the resident klipspringers keep watch on the rocks

Here is an open air bathroom with running water for the flush loo and shower, but no hot water yet

There is a dish basin next to the picnic table, also with running water

A fire place to braai and sit by the fire for hours

No electricity, therefore campers that have all the gadgets and equipment to ensure the outdoors is a comfortable but close to nature experience, will enjoy it a lot

For the folk who don’t have a lot of gadgets and campers inventions, living outdoors is simplistically satisfying

We hope that everything will be just right for you when you are here
